just got me wondering....

if only you all knew that God didn't promise this life would be easy but He said that He would give the grace to sustain it.

Last week I met people who made pretty profound choices in life or rather, chose to take a huge step in life that could be permanent. It was all for God's name. But i was still........shocked to meet such people in person. No it wasn't martyrdom. Not as huge as martyrdom.

I guess it only happens in the Roman Catholic faith but i could tell from the tone and face of the person that it wasn't an easy choice at all. I was shocked, impressed, surprised, i can't even put a word to what i thought at that point in time........

Not trying to attack or challenge any faiths here but the question to ask is really, "Did God call or tell the person to do that (stay single)?" Because there are many verses in the Word (bible) that would actually support marriage and reproduction. Like be fruitful and multiply....to give some. Also teaching kids about "Why do living things have to reproduce?" "So that they wont go extinct." is the model answer.

If you do not feel absolute peace and happiness about the whole idea of singlehood, of course, you aren't meant to be single.

Unless of course, this issue(s) is becoming idolatory or above God, i think the Man up there DOES want people to Meet, DOES want people to Date (not to the point of being overly distracted), wants people to Mate (in the right context of marriage).
